This weekends final in the Le Mans Series is also the first race in the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup. Thor-Christian Ebbesvik is in the historic race.
-The Intercontinental Le Mans Cup is the first step towards the first World Championship for sportscars since 1992. We are not planning to race the two other races this fall, the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta and the race in Zuhai, but next year I hope to be a part of the championship. In 2011 both Sebring and Le Mans will be a part of the championship, Thor-Christian Ebbesvik says.
This weekend the 26 year old Norwegian will race the last race of the European Le Mans Series at Silverstone, UK. Ebbesvik is driving a Ginetta-Zytek for Team Bruichladdich in the LMP2-class together with Tim Greaves and Karim Ojjeh.
-I think the Honda-guys will be fast at Silverstone, but we're hoping for a podium position. Maybe we can finish among the top three in the standings as well. That's the goal.
Thor-Christian Ebbesvik will bring a lot of guests from his sponsors in Norway to the race, and he will also attend some important meetings regarding next season.
The race starts at 12.55 and finished at 18.55. You can see the start and the finish live on Eurosport. Results on www.lemans-series.com
