Thor-Christian Ebbesvik did a great job when Team Bruichladdich finished second in the LMS-race at Portimao!
Saturday's race in Portimao, Portugal, was Thor-Christian's first race since his accident at Spa in May, where he broke his back. He had to skip the 24 hour race at Le Mans, but was back with a bang today.
He took over the wheel midway in the race, and drove very fast.
-We were down in seventh, and when I was finished we were second. I tried to avoid all kind of problems and managed that. My back wasn't hurting, and the car worked perfect, TC says.
The 26 year old Norwegian also was among the fastest in LMP2 once again, and impressed with his speed.
-What a great feeling to finish second today. I just love my new challenge in sportscar racing, and I'm sure my future lies in this cathegory.
Team Bruichladdich also finished a fine fifth in the total. Oreca won with their Peugeot 908, while RML won the LMP2-class before Team Bruichladdich with their Ginetta-Zytek and drivers Thor-Christian Ebbesvik, Tim Greaves and Karim Ojjeh.
